Another ruined Christmas dinner
Another over cooked roast beef
Once again your heart is breaking
Over carry over heat

You took it out at a hundred and thirty degrees
Which you know is medium rare
But it went up another twenty
Carry over heat beware

Depending on the size of the cut
Prime rib or pork butt
It’ll keep on cooking on up
To medium well
Up and you’ll yell

If you care for
Medium rare
Take it out please
If you care for
Medium rare
At one twenty degrees
If you care for
